  Frequently Asked Questions

  How does Commit™ licensing work?

Our licensing is based on the number of employees you want to manage in Commit, each needs one Active Employee license.

Commit Software licenses are perpetual. This means that you pay for them only once and can use them for as long as you like. There are no recurring charges for these licenses.

Our flexible licensing scheme enables you to install and use Commit client software on any number of workstations and laptops in your business regardless of the number of Active Employees licenses you've purchased. Also, an employee license is not limited to specific employees in your business and can be easily reassigned to other employees at any time. For every licensed employee you can assign open tickets, dispatch service calls, manage free/busy time, charge labor hours in a project and more...

  Purchase Examples

Debbie owns a computer service business in downtown Manhattan. Debbie employs one repair technician. To use Commit effectively, Debbie needs two employee licenses (for herself and the repair technician) at the total cost of $249 (first employee) + $149 (additional employee) X 1 = $398.

John owns a computer service business in Denver. John employs two repair technicians and one secretary. To use Commit effectively, John needs four employee licenses (for himself, the secretary and the two repair technicians) and therefore purchases the discounted 5 Active Employee licenses Value Pack at the cost of $599.

All Upgrades and Updates are Free with your purchase of Commit for the first three months. Once the term of the free updates has expired, you can continue using the version you have installed as long as you wish. If you wish to ensure that your version of Commit is always up-to-date, you can optionally subscribe to our affordable annual upgrade plan, or purchase our single upgrade option whenever you like.
What is Commit™ 's total cost of ownership (TCO)?
Commit™, together with its optional add-on modules, is an All-In-One software solution, which means you don't need to pay extra for 3'rd parties databases, report generators, document management systems and the like.

Commit™ has a small footprint and requires minimal system resources. It can be installed on your current MS-Windows® platform without incurring additional costs for a new server and operating systems.
For more information See Commit™ system requirements.

Note: Advanced installations for large numbers of business transactions, typical of large IT service providers, work better with the Commit SQL Database. This is an optional additional product. Please click here for more information.
