How to set Privileges so an employee can enter hours and not see the price?

You may wish to define employees which can add new Charges to Commit in order to log in the work performed for an Account, but you do not wish them to see the actual price for this Charge.

In order to do this, you should have the following Privileges settings:
1. Items – Remove all privileges from Items Privileges for the privileges group, then the user (employee) is allowed to use Items when adding new Charges, but they are not allowed to view/edit Items definition.

2. Charges Incl. Finance – if you remove all privileges from this one, then the user will be able to add new Charges but will see only the hours/units without the price.

Note that employees who add Charges this way will not be able to view or set the price.

This means they should be using pre-defined Items with either a "fixed price" or "Rate by employee" price in order for the Charge to have a price (i.e. have a Total amount for the Charge).

An alternative way is to use an Item without a price, have the technician set the amount of units/hours and set the price later (manually) by an authorized user.
