Is there a way to change a task to an appointment besides "cut and paste" or making a new ticket and dispatching it to the calendar?

Hi,

Thanks for posting this.
Right now, the only to perform the creation of an appointment from a task is to copy paste the information from the task to the new appointment, and make sure the appointment is linked to all relevant information.

Alternatively, using the RangerMSP Outlook Sync, you can drag the synced task in MS Outlook and drop it in your calendar. This would create an appointment based on the task within MS Outlook, and later on would be synced; however, the link references would need to be recreated in RangerMSP, once the appointment has been synced to the db.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I tried the "drag the synced task in MS Outlook and drop it in your calendar" method and it works. It would nice to be able to have that as a "more actions" option from the task inCommitCRM.

Hi,

Thanks for posting the great feedback.
We see the use of being able to easily escalate a task to a scheduled appointment and visa versa.
I've copied this thread, as well as your comments to a feature request and added your vote to it.
Once the product management team has a chance to look over this, we'll know more about how this will be implemented.

Thanks again for the thoughts.

With regards,
Ayala
