service form/pdf/signature

Hi,

I have a tablet PC, what i want to do is the following steps:

1. print the ticket service form into a pdf file (using a third party pdf creator software)
2. open the pdf, somehow have the customer sign directly into the pdf file using the tablet pc pen.
3. save the pdf file then drag it into CommitCRM under the ticket documents.

is this possible?

Hi,

Printing the report to PDF using a third party PDF creator software is already possible from RangerMSP. You can simply select the PDF creator as your printer when printing the report.

Saving the file and dragging it into RangerMSP is possible as well.

The only part you need to find how to work out is accepting a signature into the PDF file. I'm not sure about the possibilities in this area for tablet pcs, using available PDF editors. Perhaps someone in the community has tried this?

Here is what I am doing with my tablet.
1. Print ticket to Microsft One Note
2. Client signes ticket in One Note on tablet
3. Convert from One Note to PDF (free addon available from Microsoft)
