I've been following CommitCRM for years. We were an early adopter back in v3 or something like that. I've followed the updates and it's been awesome to see this product continually develop.
I just...

IMAP is a good answer to these questions. Hope to see it implemented some day. FYI, the bigger PSA companies don't have activesync support.

I am no longer a CommitCRM customer (but have used it since 2006ish to 2014), but I can tell you a couple of things:
* Exchange integration works perfectly if you configure it right
* Moving to...

We were. In the end we just had CommitCRM capture it using very specific rules to catch them and assign them correctly.

Yes and yes.
We had 4 users using the old file based method. SQL is a ton faster. CommitCRM is a very snappy app on SQL. I'd go to SQL regardless.

It's a problem with CommitCRM since it doesn't have gl codes. It will be hard to map things.

I have to agree with the poster.
After 8 months, this is a pretty lack lustre release. I can't see how it's a 8x release, since there is nothing major. It should have been 7x.
Considering we are...

I'd pay more. Just look at what other products charge. CommitCRM is crazy cheap.
Few hundred dollars a year vs a few thousand for other products. Big gap there. If it helped development, increase...

The way we manually do it now is:
Ticket number in reference field.
Item charges with notes as each line item.
It's pretty straight forward.
Would need some error handling around account names as...

Yeah, main reason for Basecamp is the sharing of information, including to the customers. CommitCRM is too clunky for that. Maybe when/if the web interface is cleaned up.
Also having the mobile apps...

I commented in that thread as well. We're at 12.5k tickets now and finally gone to SQL (holy god it's quicker :D)

Just to add, CommitCRM doesn't seem to remember where we put the details tab (general etc) when it's moved monitor. It slides to the top again. Can show an example if needed.

Version 7 kinda solves this with labels. One of the best changes we've seen in some time.
Would still like some way of added more statuses though.

Use the mobile view on your desktops/ipads. It's far better than the default web interface.
But it does really need a *huge* amount of work.
