Is the original subject of an email saved in the database in a way that it could be used in an email template?

The original subject goes into and becomes the first line of the Ticket description. When you use the <CMTLBLDATA_FLDTKTPROBLEM> for the Subject of the Email Template Outlook will only take the first line from this, so you actually get the original Subject in the Email Template Subject.

Won't that also say "subject: ...." as well?

...and not saying this isn't a possible work around, but would there be any interest in this getting changed? Maybe save the subject in its own field?

Using <CMTLBLDATA_FLDTKTPROBLEM> wont add "subject", it will only show the first line of the description as a subject. There are no plans currently to have a separate field for subject.
