Outlook Calendar Sync on Server

On the server we run the Outlook Calendar Sync App, which does all of the users calendars. This works well (for a while) ... after about a week or two (if we're lucky) the app fails and needs to be restarted. Is CommitCRM going to make a better server side way of syncing to Office 365 for the users? We had to waste a user license to do it this way. There should be a serverside service to do this that does not require the use of a licensed user.

Well, we'll be introducing a direct 365 calendar sync option that includes server side background syncing. A third party is involved here. The exact offering details and how it'll all work is still a work-in-progress. We'll share more details once we have them... probably within a month or so. Stay tuned!

An optional third-party plugin for direct syncing with Office 365 calendar for RangerMSP will be introduced at the same our next version RangerMSP 23 will be released - in a few weeks, the Beta already started.

Thank you for asking. At this time a direct sync with Exchange, unlike the existing sync through Outlook or the coming Office 365 direct sync, is not planned.
