Help me understand why it is necessary to check a box that says "Filter", then click filter, then choose a drop down that has my saved filter in it, then hit OK. That's four clicks.

Why not have that drop down at the top of the screen, instead of a check box. The drop down could say "no filter", "modify filters", and then a list of all my saved filters.

That would allow me to apply a custom filter, with ONE click.

I'm too lazy to click four times every time I want to use a filter, I guess.

This is a good idea. Thanks.
The reason for the checkbox is to enable/disable the already selected filter (either saved one or custom one). Like if you need to switch to ALL accounts and contacts for something and then want the quickest way back to the filtering mode - you check the checkbox and you're done.

That makes sense, but it seems like a drop down might be able to do something like that without the added overhead of additional mouse clicks.
