selecting multiple items in inbox --

would be really nice if we could multi-select items in the inbox in the tickets window and mark them as read... currently we need to right click each entry and select "Remove from Inbox"... thanks --

Note received on API, however, as discussed earlier, this particular field isn't even editable via the API. ...or did I get that wrong?

True. Any external system that uses the API forces its updates to be listed in the Inbox.
