Hi guys,

Has anyone encountered any issues with commitserver (v8) on Windows server 2012 R2? Tech support have been looking at this for me.

We have seen app crashes from it, but more strangely, we are seeing the service stop and then start itself (it's not set to automatically re-start though).

Thanks
Neil.

The service may restart itself from time to time, especially when it faces problems connecting to the mail server, so that's valid.

The errors we've found in your log files indicate that once in a while a policy/anti-virus/firewall/etc. blocks the connection to the mail server. Unfortunately this seems to be something external...

Would be interesting to hear feedback on how it works for others using this new server OS.

We just migrated CommitCRM from 2008 to 2012R2. Ill let you know if we encounter any service restarts.

We have noticed that the web interface keeps telling us that it is down for maintenance.

If we restart the service it works, but it seems to stop working at some point.

That naturally shouldn't be the case. Please try to run it under an Administrator account by changing its service properties (accessed from Windows Services list) and check whether or not that changes anything.

Switch the web server service to run as an admin account?

Indeed, as mentioned above it is accessed from Windows Services list. When you open the Service properties Window you can select the Log-on details. Provide an administrator account there and see how it goes (you need to then restart the service).
