Is it planned to make it possible to add time based labor items to a quote? I want to be able to add "On-Site Service" to a quote (which is a time based item). What are the chances of that happening?

We have a feature request for this already and I'll add your vote. In the mean time use unit based labor items for such scenarios and you can call the item Hours. This helps in separating billing from actual time spent.

Thanks,
Dina

Noted. We do like to note though that Labor can already be quoted and included within RangerMSP Quotes. It just need to be unit based, hot hourly based.

You can create a Labor Item which is unit based (you can also call it 'Hour') and use it to quote labor. The difference is that when a quote is Won the Charges created from the Quote are unit based. This is on purpose as time based Charges should represent the work actually being performed and when you Won a Quote that would have included "real" hours it will set as if the employee actually worked these hours, all even before you've started to work on the job.

So, to sum this up - use Unit Based Labor Items to quote your service. Besides, we understand your feedback and will evaluate the right approach to support it without breaking other aspect of hourly/employee labor tracking.

Thanks.
