Is there a way of using thunderbird with CommitCRM instead of outlook?

Thanks for posting this.
Mozilla Thunderbird is an Opensource Email Client, which does not manage calendars or tasks. However, Thunderbird fully supports the SMTP & POP3 protocols, so Email alerts from RangerMSP will be recieved in Thunderbird, as well as Importing your contact list into the Email client, for better convenience.

Sending emails from withing the RangerMSP client works only with Outlook though and is not supported for other email clients. Note that you can still generate email reports, and attach them to an email message.
