Xero vs QuickBooks

Hi Everyone,

Just want to get an indication of who is using what accounting package and what pros / cons you are experiencing with each.

We use QB, and have been for 15+ years.

We tried to switch to Xero 3 years ago, but it wouldn't let us edit invoices after they were initially saved which just didnt work for us.

We modify invoices a few times before we send it to the customer. "Oh you wanted 2 of said item? Sure we'll fix the invoice".

QB works great for what it does, but i wish it was more integrated into other things.

We have been using quickbooks for some time now as well but our accountant uses Xero so just wanted valuable feedback like yours to some of the possible shortfalls.

We also have been looking at Xero after having QB forever.

Xero doesnt handle inventory items well and reporting is poor compared to QB.

The reporting isn't too much of a concern as we can use Power BI to pull any reports needed.

The inventory items is a massive concern obviously. Do you perhaps know if there is an add on to Xero that could fill that shortfall?
