Our clients (and us) are French and we are having encoding issues with Frech characters with the emails.
We tried avoiding them by removing special character from clients’ names and info, but we have no control over the information when the clients write to us for a new ticket. Here some example of encoding issues: Is there a way to support Frech characters? Thank you, |

Thank you for posting this.
It may be related to encoding. Please try to set the encoding for Email Connector as following: Edit file <server>\RangerMSP\Server\CmtEmailDelivery.ini and add the following token: Charset=UTF-8 Save and restart 'RangerMSP Server' service to apply the change and monitor the emails. In case the above charset will not work, then try with one of the following charset (separately). Charset=iso-8859-1 or another attempt: Charset=windows-1252 AFTER each try RESTART RangerMSP Server service on your server. Please let us know if this helped. |

Thank you for the update.
It could be also related to the way the data is saved in RangerMSP's database. Please take a BACKUP (do not proceed without taking a backup first) and proceed with the instructions below to change the database charset: 1. Look for file adslocal.cfg under the following folders: \RangerMSP\LastVer \RangerMSP\Client \RangerMSP\Server \RangerMSP\Utils Edit all of them - look for the token: ANSI_CHAR_SET=Engl(Amer) and change its value to ANSI_CHAR_SET=French Save the files. 2. Click here to download the re-index utility. Download it to the \Utils folder. Run the downloaded utility and see whether it helps. RESTART any running RangerMSP client or server side service. Test whether it helped. Hope this helps. |
