Is the Asset module designed to track and manage client assets? Would I use Assets to catalog all of the computer, network and software licenses for a particular company?

Yes, Assets in RangerMSP are designed to track and manage your client's equipment and software. Each Asset record can contain information like type (hardware/software), codes, name, vendor, serial number, purchase date, warranty expiration date and more.

You can manage Assets without assigning them to a particular Account (customer) and when relevant, assign them to customers. Once an Asset is linked to a specific Account, you may open new Service Tickets to it, add new Tasks for work that should be performed for this specific Asset etc. The system also displays a complete service history for each Asset and more.
