In the ticket, what is the Estiamted work duration used for?

The Estimated Work Duration field is there to help when dispatching the Ticket for on-site visits (Appointments). For example, if you set it to 120 minutes, and drag/drop the Ticket from the Tickets list on to the Dispatcher window, the duration of the scheduled on-site visit is automatically set to 120 minutes (2 hours), rather than the default of 30 minutes.

Starting with RangerMSP 5.you can also change the default value for the estimated work duration field for new Tickets (the system default value is 30 minutes). To change the value go to Tools > Options > Tickets (Admin), and click Set Estimated Work Duration. The value can be modified only by system administrators.
