Hiding the Outlook Auto Sync window

Does anyone else have the issue of selecting to hide the Outlook auto sync window and then it goes back to shown when CommitCRM is closed/re-opened? Is that by design?

Re: Hiding the Outlook Auto Sync window

The sync Window is a part of the running app and this may be the reason why you see it when closing and reopening the app.

You should probably switch to using the newer syncing utility. It's a stand alone program that you run and it syncs in the background without having to do anything with RangerMSP client itself. You can even run it as part of your login script. For what it worth, if you have Exchange and full access to other employee calendars in your Outlook - the utility will try to sync for them as well (assuming they've checked the checkbox to allow this).

The syncing utility to run is:

    \RangerMSP\Utils\RangerMSPSyncOutlookForAll.exe

    Hope this helps.

Thanks! Can I run this utility on the server as a service? If not, does it require Outlook and/or CommitCRM to be open on my desktop?

        It requires Outlook.
Officially it is not designed to run as a service, however, we've heard several reports that used it successfully as a service using NSSM so give it a try. Please note, however, that this isn't something that we provide support to. Hope this helps.
