Mailouts to Customers

Hi all, is anyone using the data from CommitCRM to email out targeted info to customers?

eg say i wanted to just email customers that bought a computer from me

i know i can use outlook and 3rd party solutions

but

would find it much simplier to be able pull data straight from CommitCRM and into email

not just single emails, but everyone who matches criteria etc

any ideas?
